Back to Basics Learning Dynamics was recently named the recipient of the 2012 Marvin S. Gilman Award of Excellence in the 60-150 employees category. The Marvin S. Gilman Superstars in Business Award, named for one of Delaware’s leading small business entrepreneurs, honors businesses and non-profit corporations for their outstanding achievements and model approaches to business and management. The awards are presented to companies that have been in business for at least three years, are small businesses based on number of employees, and are members of the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce.

DCAS results are in! How does Delaware measure up?

The 2012 Delaware Comprehensive Assessment System (DCAS) results show an increase in the number of students proficient in reading and mathematics this year compared to a year ago.  Statewide, more than 10,000 additional children are proficient in reading this year as compared to last year, and more than 9,000 additional students reached proficiency in math.

Secretary of Education Mark Murphy said, “This success is the result of the combined effort of the students who studied hard and the parents and educators who supported them.  While our collective work is far from done, this is something to celebrate.”
