Back to Basics offers “Bridging the Gap” Medical Interpreter Training in Wilmington, Delaware

Back to Basics will host the intensive 40-hour “Bridging the Gap” medical interpreter training workshop on August 11 – 15, 2014. This unique certification opportunity is rarely offered in Delaware and it is free of charge to Back-to-Basics interpreters.

The training will fully prepare bilingual individuals to work as effective, competent, and pro-fessional interpreters in hospitals, clinics, and doctor’s offices.  Though specific to the medical field, the workshop teaches methods and skills to assist interpreters in any type of interpreting situation.

Letterboxing was invented in Britain, but became popular in America in the 1990s.
