Eligible applicants must be high school seniors continuing their education in a degree program, to help them attain their education goals.
Scholarships totaling up to $2,000 will be awarded annually. This is a one-time award and is not renewable. The winning video entry will become the property of the Flag Manufacturers Association of America and will be made available on YouTube and the FMAA web site.
- Entries should be videos explaining what the United States flag means to the applicant; videos should be no longer than three minutes
- Videos will be judged on content, original thought, visual imagery, and patriotic
The Delaware Department of Education is accepting applications for an eight-week summer program for promising future leaders who have a passion for education and want to gain hands-on exposure to policy work.
The program, now in its second year, has been developed specifically for current students, recent graduates and junior teachers as they explore career paths in education and seek exposure to careers in state government. Individuals from all programs of study are welcome to apply. Although teaching experience is not required, preference will be given to outstanding teachers working in Delaware public schools.

Due to technical issues with the state’s scholarship website that may have prevented some students from accessing the site, the Delaware Department of Education is extending the deadlines for some state-sponsored professional incentive and private scholarships administered by the Delaware Higher Education Office.
The deadline for the following Professional Incentive Scholarship Programs is extended until 4:30 p.m. on June 30, 2014:
- Delaware Nursing Incentive Professional Incentive Scholarship Program
- Delaware Teacher Corps Professional Incentive Scholarship Program
- Christa McAuliffe Professional Incentive Scholarship Program
- Ada Leigh Soles Professional Librarian and Archivist Incentive Scholarship (Master and Bachelor) Programs

- Optometry Incentive
