The Doodle 4 Google scholarship is open to students in grades K-12 who are enrolled in public, private, or homeschool programs. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents.

One talented young artist (grades K-12) will see his or her artwork on the Google homepage and receive a $30,000 college scholarship and a $50,000 Google for Education technology grant for his or her school.

Up2Us Sports Matter Matching Grants help youth sports teams struggling with financing

Up2Us is partnering with DICK’S Sporting Goods to support a new, youth sports initiative called Sports Matter. Sports Matter will accept applications from youth (K-12) sports teams that as a result of funding restraints, are no longer able to play, are on the brink of being cut, or have never existed despite youth interest.

Does your child love science and space exploration? NASA Space Settlement Contest deadline is March 1!

This contest is for students in grades 8 through 12. To apply, applicants must develop space settlement designs and related materials; these materials are then sent to NASA Ames for judgement. Applicants may work as individuals or teams.

  • All participants will receive a certificate. All submissions must be received by March 1, 2014.
