reading helpThe Eighth Annual Conference on Education, Moving Education in Delaware Forward, will take place on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Clayton Hall in Newark, Delaware.

With the recent release of the Student Success 2025 plan, this year’s conference will be a critical opportunity to dig deeper into the recommendations in the plan, and discuss how we can work together to make these recommendations a reality. The conference will focus on building on what works in each of the six core areas and collaboratively discussing how to continue progress.

The Youth Leadership for Service-Learning Excellence Award is now accepting applications

YSA logoThe Youth Leadership for Service-Learning Excellence Award recognizes service-learning programs and projects that demonstrate outstanding youth leadership. This award focuses on projects that show a high level of youth initiative in all areas including identifying an authentic need, planning the service, and putting that plan into action. Teams of young people participating in service-learning projects can apply. The deadline is December 4.

Representatives from the National Youth Leadership Council will review applications. One winner will be selected to receive this award at Educate. Ignite. Transform., the 27th Annual National Service-Learning Conference in Minneapolis, Minn., March 30 – April 2, 2016. …

conrad spirit of innovation logoThe Conrad Spirit of Innovation Challenge is an annual multi-phase competition that challenges high school students (ages 13-18) from across the globe to use STEM (science, technology, engineering and math), innovation and entrepreneurship to develop technologies and solutions to real-world needs.
