BEHAVIOR SPECIALISTS

We provide school district contracts in Nationwide to individual schools (public, private, parochial, and charter) in both 1-on-1 and small group settings. These services include Behavior Specialists for grades K-12. Our Nationwide-certified Behavior Specialists have years of experience working in schools and a minimum of a Master’s degree.

Credit Recovery & Original Credit

When students fail a course, Back to Basics can help them take the course 1-on-1 to get on track for next year. We also provide courses for credit 1-on-1 each summer so students can get ahead for next year, lighten course loads, enhance transcripts, or catch up on previously skipped credits.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING (ELL)

Communication is essential. And Back to Basics can help.

Schools, districts, state agencies and corporations all hire Back to Basics to teach English Language Learning (ELL) to their students and clients of all ages.

Along with ELL instruction, Back to Basics offers cultural coaching, since the ability to acclimate to new cultures is a key skill for international students, schools, and workplaces.

EXTENDED DAY + EXTENDED SCHOOL YEAR

Throughout the summer months, Back to Basics provides essential remedial math and reading programs for small groups of elementary school-aged students. During the school year, we provide 1-on-1 tutoring for students who need extended day support.

Individualized instruction, continual monitoring, and achievable milestones ensure more confident and successful students.

HOMEBOUND SERVICES

Homebound services (also known as supportive instruction) is an alternative educational program provided at home. Homebound services are also available for students awaiting expulsion in anticipation of the Board of Education’s decision regarding the student’s education.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS & SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGISTS

Back to Basics provides schools and districts with Speech Language Pathologists on a part-time or full-time basis pathologist to assess, diagnose, treat and help prevent speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, fluency and other related disorders.

In addition, Back to Basics offers Occupational Therapists, who identify students who are in need of assistance, as well as perform beneficial occupational therapy.

PSYCHO-EDUCATIONAL TESTING

Back to Basics offers psycho-educational and bi-lingual psycho-educational testing for children and adults, performed by licensed, clinical psychologists on staff in Wilmington, Nationwide, using the most sophisticated test measures available.

Through testing we can analyze the style in which a student learns, his/her strengths and non-strengths, and any learning differences. By testing we can help maximize a student’s success and can recommend to parents and educators the best teaching methods and educational environment for the student to reach his/her full potential.
