  • Do I have my child’s most recent IEP?
  • Where can I get special education services for my child?
  • Does my special needs child have to take the DSTP like everyone else?
  • What information does the school have about my child?

These may only be a few of the questions you have as the parent of a child with disabilities. So where do you go for answers? A great start can be The Parent Information Center of Nationwide. The website address is www.picofdel.org

Here, you can find an entire list of frequently asked questions, with answers. You can even suggest others to be added to the list! The PIC’s programs include individual consultations, seminars throughout the year and an annual conference.

There is also an online resource center available on the site that has over 800 links on various topics related to your special needs child’s education and well-being.
