Back to Basics provides a state-approved, full-time school, offering four core curriculum areas of math,
English/language arts, social studies and science. Electives in the private elementary, middle and high school
include such foreign languages as Japanese, German, Spanish, French, and Italian, as well as art, business,
sociology, psychology, study skills, life skills, computer literacy and many other subjects. School is held
at our Center in Wilmington, Delaware and all courses are taught 1-on-1.
We work to determine your child's strengths and non-strengths. We foster a nurturing environment in our
Delaware private school where children can grow and walk in their strengths, and understand the benefit of
interdependence as they work with instructors in areas of non-strength.
Students stay with us for one to three consecutive years, at which time they merge into a more traditional
school setting or graduate from our school. Many students go on to college.
- Unique, hands-on teaching and testing methods to match learning styles
- Experienced, degreed, caring instructors
- Confidence boosting and success coaching
- One-on-one setting
- Four core curriculum subjects, and nearly endless electives to choose from

Dedication...Determination...Direction
The perfect fit. We all want that for our children. The schools they attend, the company they keep, the
activities they take part in-- all of these are vital components that make up our child's school years.
And we want those years to be positive, memorable AND run smoothly.
As we well know, it doesn't always work out that way. Our children may hit an academic or social snag and
we find ourselves heading down a different road than the one we had intended. It's frustrating and overwhelming.
We may not find the right people to help us, or know what the next best step is for our children. We seem to
dead end in discouragement and despair. But there is hope!
Back to Basics Learning Dynamics, Inc. has developed and designed a Delaware, state-approved private school
with your child in mind. Our mission is to help your child through the transitions of life with our private
elementary, middle, & high school programs. Our main goals are increased skills and self-esteem, along with
providing encouragement and guidance for current and future success.
Our experienced and degreed instructors work as a team to customize and tailor an integrated curriculum to
the needs and abilities of your child. The teaching staff is dedicated to the growth and development of
your child academically, socially, mentally and emotionally.
One of our primary goals is to partner with you as parents for your child's success. We want to bridge
the gap between school and home so that we provide you with a cohesive plan that works for you and your family.
This is a season, a chapter in the life of your child and it won't last forever. Though at times it may
seem like there is no end in sight to the difficulties and challenges, you will come through this and
will look back on all the growth and learning that took place. Let us help you navigate this road. Let
us help you get up and over the bridge and get your feet securely placed on the other side.
Allow us to help. Call us at (302) 594-0754.
How about one student?
For some students, the actions, interactions and perhaps even the tumult of a traditional classroom make learning difficult
and even impossible.
We believe that such students deserve a setting conducive to their learning styles, and for some that may mean
a classroom of one - one student and one teacher. Our team of superb instructors joins forces to create comfort and
productivity for each individual student. This is possibly the most private and the most successful schooling that
a child in need can receive.
Back to Basics private school may offer an excellent solution if:
- Your student has struggled for the past couple of years regardless of school setting
- Your student has been diagnosed with depression or anxiety
- The private school says this is just not the right environment
- The student's school does not offer sufficient range of electives or Honors courses
- Teaching styles are not sufficiently matching your child's learning style
- You are home schooling and cannot teach all needed subjects
- The private school has asked your student to leave
- Your student has a learning disability that is holding her or him back
- You are looking for an innovative approach to learning
- Your student thrives in one-on-one interaction
- Your student needs a boost in self-esteem from his or her schooling
"I wanted to say thank you Beverly for letting me come back to the greatest school on earth. You set me up
with all the things that I needed and it worked out wonderfully. It helped get me where I needed to be.
I just want to say hope you have a great summer and thanks for everything Beverly."
--- Michael Lester, High School Back to Basics Private School Graduate
"My overall comments apply to each of the three teachers. They've all been wonderfully supportive and terrific with Henry.
He is very happy there."
