Wilmington, Delaware -- Back to Basics Learning Dynamics, Inc. recently announced the completion of its newly revamped educational resource guide and informational web site at www.backtobasicslearning.com. The site offers a diverse array of resources for students of all ages – from informational web site links, to helpful articles and interviews, to suggestions for relevant books, magazines and periodicals.
“Our mission, which is prominently displayed in our lobby as a constant reminder, is to educate and build self- esteem in children and adults to make a difference in their lives -- helping students succeed,” says Stewart. “This resource guide and web site is another way to help both parents and students.”
The resource section was specially designed for ease of navigation and is also divided into appropriate age categories. Categories include Pre-K - kindergarten, grades 1 - 5, grades 6 - 8, grades 9 - 12, college, and adult. Dividing the categories greatly simplifies the search process and makes helpful information available quickly and easily.
In addition to links and suggested reading, the site also provides access to frequently asked questions about education. This section includes topics such as How to Select a Tutoring Service and Consulting Services for Parents. Browsers can also view four minute interviews with Stewart, CN8’s education expert, on topics as diverse as Learning Disabilities, Narrowing the Curriculum, Foreign Languages, Getting Back On Track, Homework Help, Test Taking Tips, and My Child Failed...Now What? and Balanced Calendar.
The site is also filled with helpful information about the company and its numerous other services. For over 20 years Back to Basics has served the diverse educational needs of over 9,000 students – children through adults -- in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. The firm provides services for a wide variety of students including individuals, state agencies, school districts, and corporations. The website answers questions regarding adult and continuing education, special needs and learning differences, and the recently expanded and reformatted Bridge Program.
The Bridge Program is a state-approved alternative schooling option for Delaware students of all ages. The program provides a fulltime curriculum of math, English/language arts, social studies, and science. Students also choose from electives such as a foreign language, art, critical thinking, study skills, computer literacy, marine biology, and more.
“Although Back to Basics has offered alternative instruction for almost 21 years, the former ‘homeschooling’ label was often confusing to parents searching for an individualized alternative to traditional schooling,” explains Back to Basics Director Beverly Stewart. “We’ve taken the ‘home’ out of homeschooling -- providing students with a full program at our Educational Center.”
