  • Women’s Referral Network Hosts Nationally Acclaimed Entrepreneur

    Exton, Pennsylvania -- Women’s Referral Network of Chester County (WRN) will host nationally acclaimed educational entrepreneur Beverly Stewart, M.Ed. at the June 8 WRN luncheon meeting. The event will be held at Whiteland Business Park in Exton where Stewart will present a talk entitled “Turning What You Love To Do Into A Business.” The cost to attend is $15.00 for WRN members and $20.00 for non-members. Tickets will be available at the door.

    Stewart’s talk focuses on identifying each person’s unique passion and turning that enthusiasm, skill, and knowledge into a career that will be enjoyable and remarkably fulfilling. Specifics include: learning if you have what it takes to be an entrepreneur, researching your marketplace and competition, working full-time vs. part-time, pros and cons of running your own business, lining up resources, creating a business plan, support systems, promoting your venture, and more.

    Stewart is the founder of Back to Basics Learning Dynamics, Inc., has over 19 years of successful hands-on business experience, and operates nationally as a speaker and consultant for potential entrepreneurs and current business owners. Stewart has been featured in such national publications as Entrepreneur Magazine, the New York Times, and Consumer’s Digest, on radio, television and in books, and is frequently quoted as an expert for both business and educational articles. She is the winner of the “Delaware Entrepreneurial Woman of the Year Award” 1998, the “She Knows Where She’s Going Award” 2001, the University of Delaware College of Human Services, Education and Public Policy “Outstanding Alumni Award” 2002, the Debnam House “Mentor Award” 2002, and was a top-three finalist for the 2003 national "James P. Boyle Award" for educational entrepreneurs. Most recently, she was honored with the Delaware Small Business Administration’s 2004 “Small Businessperson of the Year Award” for the State of Delaware.

    WRN exists to promote business opportunities among and for women and to promote the professionalism of women. The group was founded in 1987 by two energetic and enterprising women. The group now boasts over 275 members representing a variety of careers such as insurance brokers, lawyers, real estate agents, financial advisors, women in banking and computer specialists.

    The WRN luncheon event is part of group’s monthly luncheon meeting schedule. The luncheon’s are designed to expand members’ business opportunities with the chance to network and develop new contacts and are held on the second Tuesday of each month.
