Named #90 in the "Delaware 100"

Wilmington, Delaware -- Back to Basics Learning Dynamics, Inc., Delaware's largest independently operated tutoring and instruction facility, has been named #90 in the prestigious "Delaware 100" list. Compiled by the Business Ledger as the centerpiece of their annual "Book of Lists," the Delaware 100 is a comprehensive list of the state's largest employers ranked by size.
The publication of the 2003 Delaware 100 marks the second consecutive year that the firm has been named to the list. In 2002, the firm was listed as #98 in the state with 102 employees. In 2003, the ranking jumped to #90 and the firm employed over 120.
"It is tremendously gratifying to be named to the Delaware 100," says Back to Basics' president and director Beverly Stewart. "When I founded the firm in 1985, I was the sole employee. Now Back to Bascis employs over 120 professional, degreed tutors, offers over 50 subjects, and has served the varied educational needs of over 8,000 students in the tri-state area."
In addition to the Delaware 100, The firm is also listed by the Business Ledger as the #7 woman-owned business and the #18 priavtely-owned business in the state. The firm and its founder have also been the recipients of many local and national awards. Due to Stewart’s tenacity and vision, she received the “Delaware Entrepreneurial Woman of the Year Award” in 1998, the “She Knows Where She’s Going Award” in 2001, the “Outstanding Alumni Award” by the University of Delaware in 2002, the “Business Hot Shot” honor by Delaware Today magazine, and in 2003 was named a top three finalist for the “James A. Boyle Award,” a prestigious national award honoring outstanding educational entrepreneurs.
