Since 1985, the tutors and instructors at Back to Basics have been helping students reach their full academic potential. We work with remedial, special education, and enrichment students and offer instruction in more than 60 subjects.

Back to Basics employs 80 tutors, all of whom are experienced professionals holding Bachelor, Master or Doctorate degrees. In addition, we partner with major corporations and small businesses for interpretation/translation, English as a Second Language (E.S.L.), time management, writing, foreign languages, and other skills vital in today’s business world.

We serve students in the Wilmington area including Newark, New Castle, Bear, Hockessin and surrounding parts of Pennsylvania and Maryland. See our list of subjects which includes private Math tutoring, English, ESL, SAT preparation, foreign languages, reading, chemistry, algebra and much more in your home, school, office or at our educational center. We are a state approved private school.
