Back to Basics strives to make its services as convenient as possible. We offer early morning, late evening,
even Saturday and Sunday hours to accommodate the most hectic schedules.
Office Hours
Monday-Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Sunday-Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
For your convenience, additional hours are available at your request.

IN CASE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER, all closings will

Location: Map & Directions
Our full service educational facility is located at 6 Stone Hill Road in Wilmington, Delaware. The building is
located just off Augustine Cut-Off across from the Accenture building. The center is easily accessible from
points north and south, just minutes from I-95. Ample free parking is available. And although much of our
tutoring service takes place at the center, tutoring can be provided in the student's home, office, school,
daycare center, or summer camp. Our Back to Basics building in Wilmington is wheelchair accessible.

From the North
1) Take Route 202 South to Augustine Cut-Off. Travel less than one mile, turn left onto Stone Hill Road, and pull into
our parking lot. The building is tan with a large blue sign and flagpole.

2) Take I-95 South to the Route 202 South exit. Follow to the traffic light at Broom Street, and turn right onto Broom
Street. Follow to 18th Street and turn right. Follow around the bend to the light and turn right onto Augustine Cut-Off.
Come up the hill and bear right onto Stone Hill Road. We are on the immediate right. The building is tan with a large
blue sign and a flagpole.
From the South
Take I-95 to the Route 202/Concord Pike exit. At the exit fork, take 202 South. Follow to the traffic light at Broom
Street and turn right onto Broom Street. Follow to 18th Street and turn right. Follow around the bend to the light and
turn right onto Augustine Cut-Off. Come up the hill and bear right onto Stone Hill Road. We are on the immediate right.

Since 1985, Back to Basics has served the educational needs of over 11,500 students in Delaware, Pennsylvania and Maryland.
Back to Basics is a tutoring service for children and adults of all levels, in over 60 subjects, and a K-12 private school,
also 1-on-1. We build self-esteem and confidence in all our students. In addition, we provide translating and interpreting,
educational consulting with parents, psychoeducational testing, corporate education, summer school and high school original
and make-up credits. Back to Basics contracts with individuals, government agencies, schools, districts and businesses for
their educational needs.

Our tutors are qualified and experienced teaching professionals with Bachelor,Master,and Doctorate degrees.
They are caring, supportive people who know
how to help children and adults develop confidence. They motivate them to learn and inspire them to achieve.
Our tutors are selected carefully for academic credentials and for the skills and personalities needed to work
with students of all ages. Every tutor undergoes a pre-interview, face to face interview, detailed reference checks,
and criminal background checks before being considered for hire. Great care is
given to matching a tutor with a student. Every tutor is hand-picked in order to achieve optimum results with
each student.
About The Founder
Beverly Stewart, M.Ed., President/Director
Back to Basics Learning Dynamics, Inc. was founded by president and director Beverly Stewart.
Stewart holds a Master's Degree in Special Education and a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education,
having graduated with highest honors, and has a background in both psychology and testing.
Stewart is called upon as an educational consultant around the country, and has been featured in
national and local magazines, and on radio and television as an expert in the education field.

Jeanine Stidham, Assistant Director/Title I Coordinator/Finance Manager
Jeanine Stidham started with Back to Basics in 1997 as a part-time bookkeeper. That position grew to the point that Jeanine
left her full time job to focus on her career with Back to Basics. Over the years, bookkeeper turned into finance manager
and she was later promoted to Assistant Director. Most recently, she has taken over the role of Title I Coordinator for 20
schools that Back to Basics serves under this program.
Jeanine runs the day to day operations of the company. One of the most rewarding aspects of her job is watching the
students succeed.

Back to Basics Business Timeline
1985 - As a teacher, Beverly Stewart has a vision of reaching every student. Her six years of experience
in a traditional classroom have shown her this is not always the most effective method of instruction. So, in
1985 she establishes Back to Basics Tutoring Service. Working from her one-bedroom apartment, takes a tremendous
risk leaving a successful teaching career. However, her passion for quality education forces her to take the plunge.
