As one of the nation’s largest need-based college scholarship programs in the country, the Horatio Alger Scholarship Programs specifically assist high school students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their young lives. Scholarships are available in every state to current high school seniors in the United States.

Applicants must be enrolled full time as a high school senior in the United States, and be progressing normally toward graduation in spring/summer of 2017 with plans to enter a college in the United States no later than the fall following graduation.

Award: $7,000 – $25,000
